
We are often asked if we dispose of old computers. We recommend that old computers be donated to schools or charitable organizations. Contact the school or organization for more information.
The Blind Industries of Maryalnd accepts equipment for recycling. They will accept: Printers, DVD players and VCR decks, cell phones, desktop computers, monitors, notebook computers, scanners, copiers, cameras, miscellaneous electronic or computer related cables. Call 410 737-2655.
Or, consider eCycling. Many electronic devices can be reused or recycled. The Environment Protection Agency has a program called “Plug-In to eCycling” which offers recycling information at www.epa.gov.
The Maryland Department of the Environment gives local recycling locations and information on local eCycling events. See www.mde.state.md.us/recycling.
